Carlo Pastore and Elisabetta Bovina

Carlo Pastore and Elisabetta Bovina were born at the beginning of the Sixties, the first in Salerno and the latter in Pavia. After the college, they attended the ISIA school (Istituto Superiore per le Industrie Artistiche, Design e Tecnologia Ceramica) in Faenza. Beside designing and producing furniture, jewels, sculptures and other objects, using any kind of material, from glass to wood to ceramics, they have worked and still cooperate with several companies for which they design decoration and items for the home furnishings. For the last one, Elisabetta Bovina was the editor in chief of the magazine "Il Giornale del Marmo" from '92 and '96 and since 1994 she is editor in chief of the magazine "La Ceramica Moderna & Antica".

Since 1995 they produce their designs under the label ELICA.

In 1995 they supervised the graphical image of the exhibition "Estate Ceramica" in Faenza.

Since 1996, Carlo Pastore gives, together with Rolando Giovannini, several workshops on ceramics at the ISIA (Istituto Superiore per le Industrie Artistiche) in Faenza.

In 1997, they designed the corporate image of the ceramics company Feanza Italia srl. and they lead a ceramics workshop at the Macef in Milan, collaborating with the magazine D'A and Colorobbia.

In 1998, they opened a new space in Bologna, in via S. Felice 48, which, beside being a workshop is a "place of meetings and contaminations among the different arts".

In 1999, they started a collaboration with Bottega Gatti in Faenza for the production of a collection of craftwork home accessories.
